Well, welcome to our new home!

It's October, which means it's fall, which means it's my favorite time of the year! I know, I know: fall technically symbolizes the slow decay into eventual frost. But personally, I come alive in the fall. I can feel myself charging to full power.
September kicked off in a crazy way with a move to a literal new home, followed right away by the Second Annual Writers Retreat with Hallie Grace and Dana P, my two dearest friends and favorite co-writers. If you haven't checked out Hallie's music, you should, and keep your eyes out for Dana's debut EP. She's cooking up something great.
While we were there recharging and reconnecting with each other (and nature), we played for our friends at Salt and Vine at Sunset Beach, NC, through a massive thunderstorm. The crowd was so generous and kind, and we even got people out of their seats to do the Carolina Shag!
The rest of the month was all about the album. The songs from Boston are moving into mixing, and we're almost wrapped on the last song here in Nashville. I just got the latest version from Carson and y'all… I cried tears of joy. Everyone I've played it for has cried. You're not ready for it!
Lots to look forward to this October, not least the Women Make Music Costume Party & Showcase on Wednesday, October 28 at The East Room. I'm on at 10:00pm, and please come in costume! I sure will be 🙂 I'll post ticket details on my website as soon as I have them.
